Acne Rosacea – What Is Acne Rosacea?

For those that suffer from acne rosacea, this condition is one that causes a number of problems, usually with self esteem more than anything else. In this condition, which some 45 million people throughout the world suffer from, the skin on the face is most commonly affected. Usually, those that have a fair skin tone are most often faced with it (especially those with north western European descent.)

The condition usually affects the central part of the face. The cheeks, nose and your forehead can also be affected. It can also happen on the back, neck and chest as well, but this is much less common. The skin will flush and the redness often remains for an extended amount of time.

More women will face this condition than men. What’s more, the condition worsens as you age until about age 60 when it dies down. The peak usually happens between the ages of 30 and 60. In some conditions, there are red bumps on the skin that can be filled with pus. Burning or itching can be a side effect of the condition as well. With acne rosacea, the condition can be treated, though treatments alone may not cure the condition altogether.

For those that may be suffering from this condition, there are many ways to lessen the effects and improve the health of your skin in the long term. It is very important for you to consider getting help for the condition, though. For many people, this condition is minimal and not a problem. Yet, with help, acne rosacea can be minimized to make it even easier to deal with.
